ISLET

Islet are remote Welsh outsiders, studying life via a refracting telescope, adept in the art of conjoining parts that don’t fit. A Powys quartet whose free-spirited invention and exuberant intensity flows through experimental pop: hypnotic, exhilarating and defiantly unique.

“They blew my mind. It was the perfect mix of experimentation and entertainment, brain and heart engaged simultaneously” Stewart Lee

SWEET BABOO

Sweet Baboo is the alter ego of North Walian musician and songwriter Stephen Black. His career has spanned over 2 decades and has seen him release 6 albums to date to critical acclaim. His live shows are profoundly entertaining, full of catchy hooks, melodies and delight.

“One of Wales’s finest modern songwriters His music is charming and flecked with magic.”
The Guardian, October 2022

JOHANNA WARREN

An American singer-songwriter based in mid Wales, Johanna has released six solo albums.

"Singer-Songwriter You Need to Know.” Rolling Stone Magazine

THE BREAKS

The Breaks are a magical band of musicians and growers from the Hay on Wye area dedicated to working with the transformative power of words and music to make people dance! Their music is heavy with energetic rhythms, soulful worldwide folk, and blue note Beats creating a unique and eclectic mix of Babylon grooves, dub, reggae, electronica, and improvisation.  Hold onto your hats!

EATEN BY LIONS

New Indie Rock 3 piece from the Welsh border. Frenetic 3 minute indie rock bangers largely in the brit pop/grit pop tradition. Topping their first string of gigs last summer 2022 with a midnight special at Latitude Festival 2022 on the BBCIntroducing stage/Lavish Lounge, the band are currently recording their debut EP and looking forward to touring their original songs across the UK in 2023, including Latitude Fest amongst others. So far audiences have compared the band to Arctic Monkeys, the Strokes, early cure, pixies, blur, nirvana, spoon, television and sonic youth.

SPOKEN WORD FROM -

WALK, TORC & PUNK

Jonny Fluffypunk, Clare Ferguson Walker and Liv Torc are stand-up poets and flawed human wonder kestrels touring a simple but brilliant poetry show, all about poking human hearts and cracking cold faces into hot lava soup.

“The best Spoken-Word show I’ve ever seen.” Patrick Thomas, Theatr Gwaun
