This new documentary examines the public and private life of the artist Eric Ravilious, whose work has enjoyed a revival of interest in recent years. Perhaps best known now for his evocative watercolours of English landscape, he was also a prolific graphic designer alongside Edward Bawden and Peggy Angus, and eventually a notable war artist. The complex of relationships within the Sussex arts set form a backdrop to his output, which was tragically cut short in 1942 when the RAF plane in which he was doing preparatory research failed to return to base.
